Reno Omokri, Aide to former president, Goodluck Jonathan has said that poverty is not bad and poverty does not please God.
In a recent post, the author on his micro-blogging site, Twitter on Saturday described 'accepting poverty' as an act of 'ignorance' just like the holy bible noted that love of money is evil and didn't describe having money as evil.
He said "Poverty is not bad. But accepting it and thinking that it pleases God, is ignorance. Poverty does not please God. In 1 Timothy 6:10, Scripture teaches that the love of money is evil. It does not say that having money is evil. Make money legally!"
