IYF Press Statement On The 'Eastern Security Network' Established by Nnamdi Kanu

Following the worsening insecurity in Nigeria and the terrorist activities of Fulani herdsmen who maim, kill our people and rape women in the eastern region which includes the southeast and south-south;  We, the Indigenous Youth Forum (IYF) declare our support for the Eastern Security Network established by Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

As we all know, the Nigerian military and other federal government security agencies have failed to fulfill their constitutional duty to protect Nigerians. And they collude with Fulani terrorists and criminals who rampage our communities in their quest to take over our ancestry land.

Since we no longer want to live in fear and the constant abuse and killings of our people, even by government security agencies, we call on all sons and daughters in the eastern region, and all well-meaning Nigerians to support the Eastern Security Network and other regional security in Nigeria, to ensure our lands are protected from invaders.

Having carefully examined the security team established by Nnamdi Kanu, we want everyone to understand that the ESN, which consists of youths from the southeast and south-south, is deliberately in the general interest of the people of the southeast, south-south and all peaceful people that come to the region, and not for any other agenda as some misguided individuals claim.

Having noted this, we call on Governors, Lawmakers, Monarchs, Chiefs and others to give their full support to the Eastern Security Network, backing them with the law, to ensure that our land is fully protected from terrorists whose sole interest is to cause us pain.

We also commend Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for his commitment towards the protection of our land.
