According to the United Nations Watch, the Nigerian government has yet to provide any information about where and how Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB, was detained.
In a tweet, the United Nations vowed to take action against Nigeria for violating its international rules.
They claim that:
"🇳🇬 Nigeria refuses to provide any details on their arrest of indigenous leader Nnamdi Kanu.
🇳🇬 Nigeria sits on the U.N. committee that oversees human rights NGOs."
Eco City News gathered that kanu was kidnapped and tortured for 8 days by the Kenyan forces and handed over to Nigeria according to his lawyer, barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor.
