Special Councel to the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Mr Aloy Ejimakor has prompted security operatives not to confine or not to mention attack Kanu's allies expected to crowd the government high court Abuja in a demonstration of fortitude, on Monday, as Kanu's case resumes.
In a press briefing on Sunday, Ejimakor said he was incited to make the exhortation dependent on the media reports demonstrating that those coming to Abuja to show fortitude with his client will be molested or even captured by security operatives.
Ejimakor clarified that while he was not approaching individuals or Kanu's allies to crowd Abuja for the conference on Monday, it was essential to express that anyone who wishes to come would not be doing anything unlawful, gave such an individual comes in harmony.
He expressed that Kanu's trial is an open preliminary and not a mysterious one since Kanu is assumed honest until demonstrated liable, which anybody wishing to be related with his preliminary by being available in Abuja is ensured by his Protected right to opportunity of affiliation and development.
"Thus, my message to all followers of Kanu and even to Nigerian government is straightforward and that is: Everyone ought to be totally directed by law and order relevant to why Nnamdi Kanu is confronting these hardships and preliminaries.
"That relevant law and order is plainly systematized by CAP A9, Laws of League of Nigeria, where it is expressed at Article 20 that: 'All people groups will reserve the option to presence. They will have the irrefutable and basic right to self-assurance. They will unreservedly decide their political status and will seek after their financial and social improvement as per the approach they have openly picked".
Ejimakor noticed that the arrangement is the support of each and every other wrongdoing the Nigerian government is asserting against Kanu, which once the public authority perceives that the undertaking whereupon Kanu is locked in, is explicitly perceived or secured by laws, it will see that exchange, not preliminaries and brutality, is the lone lawful pathway to containing it.
"I'm saying this in light of the fact that the very Law that legitimizes self-assurance additionally requires the public authority to oblige it. Article 1 of that Law gives that Nigeria 'will perceive the rights, obligations and opportunities revered in the Contract and will attempt to embrace authoritative or different measures to offer impact to them.'
"Further, exposing Kanu to any preliminary considering the present situation of his remarkable version will confront loads of legitimate difficulties. In this way, what is generally anticipated on Monday isn't a preliminary yet what Legal counselors call 'taking a supplication' or a re-arraignment on the revised Charges that may be brought.
"Should that occur, the strategy grants taking a suspension to read the new charges to exhort the respondent on the following stages. Along these lines, there's nothing critical that will occur on Monday that warrants anyone, including the public authority, to be anxious," Ejimakor said.
