Today in South Africa, the indigenous people of Biafra IPOB stormed the venue where the proscribed Ohaneze Ndigbo led by John Nina Nwodo were invited for a new yam festival. The IPOB members who graced the occasion in their numbers said that Ohaneze Ndigbo can never have peace as a result of their treacherous acts against Biafrans. It was gathered that the Ohaneze Ndigbo president John Nina Nwodo were no where to be found, as a result of the presence of IPOB. Also, despite the presence of the security personnel at the event, IPOB members stood their ground and insisted that their voice must be heard.
Recall that about two months ago, members of the indigenous people of Biafra IPOB led by the IPOB deputy leader Alphonsus Uche Okafor-Mefor were at a new yam festival in Liverpool UK where they took over the event. It was gathered John Nina Nwodo and other invitees did not show up due to the fear of IPOB.
Recently, IPOB leadership announced the ban on Ohaneze Ndigbo and the South East governors, saying that they do no longer represent the interest of the people, hence can no longer hold any gathering in Biafra land and beyond.
