POLITICAL CRISIS: Oshiomole Finds his way to USA after being interrogated by DSS, Says "His Fact Is Still Unknown".
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that the fate of the party’s national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole is still unknown to them after he hastily departed from Nigeria following his interrogation by the Department of State Services (DSS) on Sunday and Monday.
According to Daily Trust, the national chairman was quizzed for two days by DSS over the numerous petitions levelled against him.
It was gathered that petitions were sent to DSS, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), including the presidency over the APC’s primary elections which led to internal crisis within the states, in addition with allegations of bribery and manipulation.
Further reports says most of the petitions came from aggrieved members of the party in Imo, Ogun, Niger, Zamfara, Kaduna, Bauchi, Adamawa, Delta and Cross River States.
The APC National Publicity Secretary, Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu, who confirmed that Oshiomhole has travelled out of the country also commented on the DSS interrogation.
Issa-Onilu said “We do not have any information on this rumour. More so, the chairman is not around in the country to confirm or deny this. As soon as we have any relevant information, you’ll be updated.”
Speaking on the national chairman’s whereabouts, he said “He travelled last night (Tuesday night)” but added that “I do not have this information [as to where he travelled to].
“I do know it’s a scheduled personal trip he could not make last week due to the November 2 deadline for the submission of candidates.”
