Information reaching our newsroom has it that Nnanna Edmund is originally from Aba, Abia State Biafraland. Attending Texas, A&M University-Kingsville, he initially graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy (Magna cum laude) in 2015 and is graduating today with a Master of Science degree in Agronomy with an emphasis in Environmental Science where he was a graduate teaching assistant for Dr. Ambrose Anoruo.
According to report gathered by ECO CITY REOORTERS, He served as a platoon leader in the U.S Army Reserves with the 851st Transportation Company were he also volunteered for Operation Cold Steel and the Hurricane Harvey rescue mission in Houston TX even as a full-time graduate student. During his time on campus, he held numerous leadership and service focused positions.
Nnanna volunteered over 100 hours of community service that benefited special needs children at the special Olympics from 2013 till present.
He was the Executive Officer and Company Commander of the Javelina Battalion (TAMUK ROTC). He also served as the chair of the social justice and advocacy and Bigger Event committee, member of the Provost Search and the International Exchange Scholarship Fund Committees and senator representing the College of Graduate studies within the Student Government Association.
Additionally, Edmund was a member of 7 student organizations including the Golden Key and Alpha Tau Alpha Agricultural Honors society.
Nnanna has contributed to two research articles and has presented research posters at two conferences. He is a recipient of the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, Texas A&M University All Star Award, Daughters of the American Revolution Award, 1st Place at the Javelina Symposium, Distinguished Student Award May 2015 commencement, Army Achievement Award and Army Good Conduct Medal.
Nnanna is graduating today with a perfect 4.00 GPA and is headed to the University of California Berkeley for his Doctoral Education.
