"Don't joke with us, leave our belongings alone" - IPOB leader condemns FG plan to close Enugu Airport
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has condemned the proposed shutting down of Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Nnamdi Kanu lamented that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government has not considered shutting down any of the airports in the far North, especially Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State and Yola, the Adamawa State capital, where Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen are unleashing terror.
He then wondered how Enugu Airport, not threatened by any present and imminent danger to civil aviation, will be threatened with shut down simply because of a nearby market.

Meanwhile, many Nigerians, especially from the South Eastern extraction, have condemned the announcement by the State Minister for Aviation, Mr. Haji Sirika.
