Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has reacted to the rearrest of IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

The IPOB leader, who has a British passport was arrested with the aid of Nigerian security operatives and extradited to Nigeria on Sunday.

Kanu was extradited to continue his trial before the Justice Binta Nyako-led Federal excessive court docket sitting in Abuja.

The IPOB chief is facing trial for committing treason.

Kanu’s brother, Emmanuel had disclosed that the IPOB chief was picked up in Kenya over the weekend.

According to governor Wike in an interview with Arise TV, said, the Federal government should also haunt for the bandits and every other group leaders terrorizing the country.

He said despite the rift which he had with IPOB leader, it wouldn't make him say because of that he should be persecuted unjustly. 

Recall, Wike had earlier disagreed with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's renaming of Rivers State to "Igweocha" and also including the state as part of the new Biafra independence state.
