The family of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, have explained that they would not be present during the trial of their family member in court.
The younger brother of Nnamdi Kanu, Emmanuel Kanu, had a chat with the Nation where he made the submission that they would not show up in court until they get to know about the exact way Kanu was kidnapped outside the country and whisked to the country.
Emmanuel Kanu said: “Until there are calcifications concerning his extraordinary rendition, we (immediate family members) are not prepared to come to court. You do not expect to see us in court when it was clear that our son, father and brother was abducted.
“In the history of this country, there’s never been a time anybody was ever given a fair hearing except you are coming from the Fulani extraction. It’s only the Fulanis that get a fair hearing. It is as simple as that,”
Meanwhile, Simon Ekpa, a ranking member of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has disclosed that a nationwide rally in the pipeline for leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, and Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho.
Ekpa made the announcement via Radio Biafra in a live broadcast on his official Facebook page. He charged patriotic Nigerians to join the protest to guarantee that justice is served.
Ekpa said, “The World Igbo Congress is organising a mega rally in solidarity for Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho’s release.
”We are calling on every concerned Nigerians to participate in the exercise. If you are a concerned Nigerian, a Biafran or Oduduwa, ensure you participate in the rally which is going to be the biggest in the country.”
